As well as the information on this site, there is also a large family tree on Ancestry.co.uk and there are many links from this site to the individuals listed there – currently more than 1,100 people! Ancestry.com shows the structure and connections of the many branches of the families and holds additional photos plus many source and reference documents.

Ancestry is designed for creating family trees. It’s very good at this and for finding and saving detailed information about people, such as census details, birth and marriage certificates. It also stores photos, documents and stories. But, being focused on individuals, it isn’t able to give an overview of a family or how the connections between the various branches and places arose. This is what this website is about.
